Job Opportunity
We are currently looking to recruit a hardworking dedicated stock person with general farm working experience to assist on our Home Office Licenced farm facility between Linlithgow and Bathgate.
High standards of welfare are critical for all donor Horses and Sheep.

Responsibilities
Daily tasks will involve routine stock management of Horses, Sheep as well as some seasonal related farm duties.
You will receive extensive training in Home Office Licenced blood harvest protocols and work as part of a busy team of five, working one weekend in four on rota basis for animal health checks.
You will also be required at times to work on own initiative without supervision.

Key skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you will have a good all-round knowledge of animal management and routine livestock duties, together with basic farm machinery skills. An ideal candidate will have previous experience working under the Home Office Animal Scientific Procedures Act, however full training will be provided. In addition to this, being competent in driving telehandlers and tractors and hold valid licences to safely operate these, would be an advantage, but full training can be provided.

Hours of Work/Rates of Pay
Mon to Fri: 08.00 to 16.30 + every 4th weekend on a rota basis.
