Job Opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Warehouse Supervisor, to coordinate our busy despatch warehouse with a total of 11 operatives at our site based at Westfield, Cumbernauld. In this role, you will ensure a constant, smooth, and efficient operation of the warehouse, whilst maintaining a high level of quality at all times.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and delegate daily and weekly work and equipment requirements to achieve operational and warehouse priorities and deadlines. Identify any problems which occur and react accordingly.
  • Ensure daily orders are picked, packed, and shipped on time in order to meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Proactively motivate your team to ensure targets and deadlines are clearly understood and are being achieved and act as an immediate point of reference for problems.
  • Stock Integrity, including ensuring our systems are accurate, while proactively contributing to reduce and minimise stock waste.
  • To continually look at continuous improvements of processes, methods of operating and practices using a structured process.
  • Manage the Warehouse Operatives and disciplines in line with company policies.
  • Complete weekly/monthly statistical reports as required by Management.
  • Motivate staff within a team-based management culture.
  • Monitor performance within the Warehouse with the key objective of ensuring continual improvement.
  • Ensure Health & Safety is maintained and adhered to within the warehouse in accordance with Health & Safety regulations.

  • Strong Numerical and Analytical Skills- The ability to read and analyse logistics KPI data and promote productivity and accuracy.
  • Problem Solver – ability for lateral thinking and quantitative problem solving is essential.
  • Team Player- The ability to lead your team, understand that the success of every aspect of the supply chain is a group effort.
  • Attention to Detail – excellent organisational and planning skills, paying attention to the smallest of details regarding customer requirements.
  • Sound Decision Making- the ability to think on your feet and make key decisions under pressure.
  • Adaptability – Continual improvement is fundamental at E&O – your role must welcome change and implement the necessary adjustments.
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills – Your role will require you to help manage a diverse team, working closely with Logistic suppliers, couriers, Freight Forwarders, and internal and external customers. Good communication skills are essential.
  • Strong computer IT skills – Significant level of experience in the Microsoft Office suite of application, including Excel are essential, knowledge of ERP systems, EPICOR would be an advantage.

Shift Pattern/Hours of work:

Dayshift: Monday to Thursday 08.30 to 17.00, Friday, 08.00 to 16.30 (40 hours per week) Flexibility may be required to meet the needs of the business.

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
